Why I'm using HandUp for security deposit.

My goal is to find somewhere to stay, and that's really the only reason I would need help with my security deposit, as well as application fees if possible.

About me.

I was born and raised in Pontiac Michigan, but I got married and relocated to Kentucky in 2005. I was there for 16 years, and then my mother passed away in June 2019. She was the only reason I was there, so that's why I am back in Michigan. I work for a Nursing home and Assisted Living, and I've been working since August 2020. Due to me not having a place, I have to leave my children with my now ex-husband. I just want to secure housing for me and my children so I can get my live back on track.

My backstory.

I relocated to Kentucky in 2005, and then I lost my mom in 2019. She was the only reason I was there, so I moved back to Michigan. I lost my mother, my marriage was over, I just felt lie I lost everything all at once. Now to be living in another state without by babies has been so stressful. I had mt oldest son with me and due to all the changes he started having behavior problems. When I moved back here I was staying with family, but that ended up not working out. I stayed in my car for about two or three weeks until I found my way into the Lighthouse program, and since then I have been looking for housing so I can have me and all my children under the same roof again.

My goals, moving forward.

My First goal is finding a safe good home for me and my children. I would also like to start taking classes again in lobotomy to further my career in nursing. There's actually a class starting in March that I'm hoping I can be apart of. And then once I find housing and start taking these classes, I can just go from there and hopefully keep everything stable in my life and the lives of my family.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

Making my kids happy is what makes me happiest. My proudest moment would be when I have my children all back home with me, and for my craziest dream, I want to become a nurse.
