About me.

Hi, my name is Tierra. I was born and raised in Detroit and so were both of my children. For the last two months I have been working at Dialog Direct as a general laborer. I work 30-40 hours a week, sometimes more sometimes less because the work can fluctuate. I love spending time with my kids and I am doing everything I can to improve our lives.

My backstory.

I currently reside at COTS with my two children, ages 8 and 6. I came to COTS because I was unable to pay the utilities in my house and they were shut off. It was not safe to stay in my house during the winter without heat and electricity so I chose to take myself and my children to COTS. A year and a half ago my car was broken into and has been unusable since then. I have gotten three estimates on the car and they range from $1,400 to $2,100. I have been trying to get assistance for my car for months now and no where seems to be able to help me. I am asking for $1,700 because I think that would cover all the costs to repair my car. Right now I feel at a loss and like I am not a good mother. Thank you for anything you can do to help.

My goals, moving forward.

My future goals include owning a home, getting a better job, going to college and volunteering at a hospital with children. I just want things to change, I've been struggling for a long time.
