My doctor would like me to put some weight on. Getting help with grocery money will be very important for that. Thanks for anything you can give.
I am from Antioch, CA. I have lived in the city for the past 12 years. I back in housing now and working on staying healthy.
I became HIV positive June of 2006 and I became pregnant with my son. I gave my son up for adoption. I've been homeless for many years and I've been frustrated. Housing is a very big challenge. It's very hard when Social Security does not approve you. I've been fighting with SSI for 5 years. I was also hospitalized for 11 months. Now I'm in housing and have been since Jan 2016. I'm very happy about that.
Now that I'm in housing my goal is to gain some weight and get healthy. After that I would like to get a bigger bed, mine is so small I don't fit well in it.
My son makes me happiest. I'm also so happy to be housed now and living indoors.
