Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

I am using HandUp as a source to help me get back on my feet and get back into the community. I want to fundraise for basic needs including food and clothing. May God Bless you and keep hope in your heart for always.

About me.

My name is Focuz and I'm from San Francisco. I was born in San Francisco and have lived here practically all of my life. I'm 57 years old, I just had a birthday on November 4th. I spend my time looking for jobs, going to the library, and going to church every once in a while. I desire to see my daughter but that's not possible right now. I had a son who was killed at 20 years old. I lost some brothers and sisters out here in the Bay Area. I am really trying to get my life together and I would like to get some plumbing training and heavy equipment training. I would like to get a place to live so I have a place for my daughter but it's hard because I'm not working. I try to stay positive and believe in God and to love everybody, even though sometimes I don't get it in return. I would like to be loved in return. I hope that someone out there will reach out and help me get my life put together in the sense of financially and spiritually and that I would be able to connect with my daughter, Gabrielle. My backstory.

I had a pretty rough past. There are 10 boys and 5 girls in my family. My mother didn't really take care of us and I don't know my father. There has been a lot of anger and abuse in my family. I don't even know where any of my brothers and sisters are right now. One of my brothers was killed by the Amtrack in Richmond in 2006. After my son was murdered in 2003, I lost my way. I got into some trouble and it caused me to go to prison. This society doesn't forgive and I want a chance to be forgiven so I can get a job. Having a criminal record makes it difficult to find employment and housing. I got into this situation because I went through a pity party and stopped caring. Now I am trying to keep positive.

My goals, moving forward.

One of my goals is to be able to get some construction training so I can work and support my daughter. I want to get into my music, I play drums and keyboard. I would like to make positive music for the youth and OG men and women. I need help and I hope with the help of others I can get on the right path.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I really wish I was married and had an understanding and caring girl to marry and love. I would like to make other people happy and do things for others; older people and people who can't help themselves. I would like to help people physically. I like to cook and clean and think I could use that as a way to help people. I just want to help others and show people that we can learn to love together.
