Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

Recently my partial dentures were stolen. My insurance will not cover the cost of a replacement pair. I am using HandUp to fund raise for partial dentures to maintain my health.

About me.

I am originally from Thornton, Arkansas and have lived in San Francisco for fifty five years. I was employed as carpenter for several years. Prior to that I worked for the Government as a maintenance worker. I am now retired and enjoy spending my time fishing, reading, doing volunteer work and attending community events. I have a passion for designing clothes and recently started pursuing that passion as a hobby.

My backstory.

Three years ago I was homeless and without a support system. I lived this way for five years and did not think it would end. I am very fortunate that three years ago I was housed and have been living in the same place since.

I am working toward pursing my passion for design and art.
