I'm using HandUp to restore my license.
I've been in the Pontiac area for about nine years now, and I'm looking to get everything back on track. I had previously been staying a shelter program looking to get in a senior program that could help with me being able to afford a place to stay on my fixed disability income. I was able to get into my new home, and am now starting to think about the future and how I can start to make more money to thrive. I'm so grateful for my family and friends in the area. I love when I'm able to go to a local restaurant or a barbecue to be around the community.
I'm originally from the east side of Detroit, and I've been in Oakland County since 2008. Since I got here, I've been moving around a lot, and now I'm doing my best to settle into my home.
My next goals are honestly to stay in housing. I want to get transportation and clear some debts, but my home is most important.
Being with my grand kids is what makes me the happiest. I want to be able to have them come to visit me for a change, and it's possible if I can stay in my home.
I'm raising money for rent so I can prevent an eviction that will be filed on 9/14.
I'm raising money for security deposit so I can move into my home.
I'm raising money for housing so I can live in affordable housing.
