Why I'm using HandUp for housing & transportation.

I'm using HandUp so I can have a permanent place of my own. I also need a car so I can go back to school and get a job so I can take care of myself. I really need a fresh start so I can help myself and give back to others.

About me.

I'm from Detroit originally but I've been living in Pontiac for about 20 years. My family is not around so it's just me right now.

My backstory.

When Covid hit I lost my job and I couldn't afford my rent. I've been homeless since and I'm also fleeing a domestic violence situation.

My goals, moving forward.

I'm working to fin housing, get a car and go back to school. I want to be able to take care of myself so I won't be in this situation again. I also want to give back to others who are in need.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

What makes me happy is seeing the first Grandson my daughter had last year. I never thought I would be a Grandmother and I am just so happy to see my Grandson.
