I have ended my own homelessness thanks to a subsidized program here in Wayne County. I am still in need of assistance with some furniture so I have a place to rest at night, and maybe some sheets and pots and pans and maybe a couch. I am also enrolled in school now and working full time so any help with gas and groceries would also be very appreciated. Thank you for reading!
My name is Jasmine and I am 24. I was born in Michigan but I actually was raised and grew up in Texas. I moved back to Detroit, Michigan three years ago. I work at Burlington Coat factory and all my time is dedicated to my employment. I want to get back into school someday but I have to focus on my employment for now.
When I was younger and I came to Michigan on my own and did not have any support systems. This ultimately lead to my homelessness and I had to start fresh.
My goals moving forward are to get back into school, get into stable housing and get my license and a car. I am working on moving towards these goals but it is taking time.
I am so proud of myself for being successful with the things I HAVE accomplished over the past year and to be honest, I am very proud of the person I am becoming during these hard times.
I'm raising money for basic needs.

I'm raising money for kitchen appliances and a queen sized bed so I can cook for my children and have a bed to sleep in.
I'm raising money for household items like a couch, end table, pots and pans and cleaning supplies so I can focus my fixed income on staying healthy and tranportation.
