About me.
I've lived in Pontiac all my life. Before COVID-19 hit last year, Before COVID-19, I worked for a factory called Erae for a year and a half. I'm a single mom with six children so I spend most of my time taking care of them.
My backstory.
Before I got help with housing from Community Housing Network and Lighthouse, my kids and stayed at HAVEN because my partner was abusive to the point where I feared for my life. Now I'm housed with Lighthouse's help and I can think about how I want to make things better for me and my kids.
My goals, moving forward.
I'd really like to get another job and go back to school, but I have to work out childcare first. It would be nice if I could get to a place in my life where I'm less dependent on other people.
Other things I'd like to share about myself.
I'm happiest when I'm doing everything I can for my kids. It's important to me to work as hard as I can to make things better for them.
