I'm raising money for basic needs so I can go back to school for Early Childhood.

Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

I want to go back to school to get my degree in Early Childhood Education because I have a real passion for children and their future, because they are also our future. Having a computer will help me in school because I will be able to do research, write papers, and create lesson plans as I pursue my degree.

About me.

I was born and raised in West Oakland, CA. I've been living in San Francisco for two years. I've worked jobs such as a janitor, a security guard, in a warehouse, etc., but could never do childcare or Elementary teaching because I don't have a degree yet.

My backstory.

At the moment, I am homeless. I started on my journey of working toward being a teacher or child care provider at the age of 20. I went to Solano Junior College to begin my task of getting my degree in the field. Then my dad fell ill and died and life spiraled down from there. I now finally feel that I can take on the opportunity of going back and finishing up.

My goals, moving forward.

My goal, of course, is to move up through the degrees and maybe become the principal of an Elementary school or maybe remain as a teacher or become the head coach of a Little League or Pop Warner team. Either way, I'll be able to progress young lives.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I'm as extremely passionate about the youth as I am about football. My best days were when I played as a youngster, myself. I'll never forget my coaches, my teammates, and the way I felt when I played the game I love with the people I loved and respected. Someday I would like to give that feeling back to another generation.
