About me.

I was born and raised in Detroit. I graduated from Henry Ford High School. Working as a teen in Detroit Youth Programs I was recommended as a courier for All net, a Telecommunications company, n the IT department in 1988. I promoted through IT Computer Room to Lead Operated as All-net merged to Frontier and finally to Global Crossing. When I moved into production support department, departmental downsizing lead to my layoff in 2004. Unsuccessful in finding work, my wife and I separated in 2009, and I was looking after my mother in her time of dementia. By 2012 I had 80% Kidney Renal failure and started dialysis.

My backstory.

I had no income when my kidneys failed so a social worker at the hospital got my Medicaid papers started. In 2012 my disability request was denied and I was offered SSI, an income supplement. I received stocks after my mother's death and SSI got canceled 3 years later. Now Social Security is asking for a repayment of $15,000.

My goals, moving forward.

SOS was able to help a friend of a friend. I am looking to fight for my disability payment in order to pay my debt to Social Security and stable housing. If allowed, part time work to aid in my goal for a safe place for my 2 year old granddaughter to visit.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

The greatest joys in my life are my 22 year old daughter and my 2 year old granddaughter.
