I am using HandUp so I can house myself, get dental work and purchase a computer. Also, I am raising money for temporary lodging.

About me.

I am originally from Detroit, Michigan. I came to California in 2005 to find work and further my education.

My backstory.

I was working a seasonal job. Unfortuantly I was laid off, unable to pay my rent and became homeless as a result. I have had difficulty finding work and housing since then.

My goals, moving forward.

I would like to start an online business selling my own handmade jewelry. I would also like to return to my job as a home health aide, working with seniors. In order to achieve these goals I need to secure stable housing.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I enjoy being around people and interacting with others. I am a people person and am very compassionate of others. Other activities I enjoy going the library and reading a good book.
