My name is Kumali and I have been homeless for about 7 years. I'm currently working on a film which is my story. A rapper in my neighborhood put it out that I was a shooter and running wild, homeless. I was getting into trouble as a youth but did not do what was rumored about me at the time.
In 2010 I had an out of body experience, where I went into the white light. I drank poison (eucalyptus oil) and had a revelation about my life. I was a new soul inside of my body and felt that I needed to start my life over again. I felt that I'd talked to God and that he had told me, "you're not done."
I've already been an artist and already had the footage to put out about my life. I'm working on finishing my film so that I can tell my story and make an impact on others. I feel that I have a lot to contribute and can help others through this message.
I was born in the Western Addition in San Francisco the Fillmore. I am 40 years of age and have worked doing clerical work for the City and County of SF as a youth. I was the Mayor's Ambassador for Willie Brown while he was in office. I'm now residing in Chinatown.
Today heavy on my heart, in my past I have done things that I am not happy with be that as it may, criminal activity. But, I have turned over a new leaf and I feel as if the things that I am trying to accomplish are placing me back to my youthfulness which I was. I come from a good family and my music, my art, my writings are a form of giving. I try to do this thing called Homeless Camping where I was trying to learn what it was to be homeless and to see if I could be successful from it. Everyone could forget about you and think that you were really homeless. That's what happened going to New York City. Now I've been back in SF for 3 years and I'm currently working on a film and music and getting my family and friends back.
With all of the destruction in the world, and the family backing I have, the world is at your finger tips. Don't forget that - steadfast and don't put too much on your plate. Take one day at a time and don't move too fast.
My acting and the things that I do to try to build, I haven't put into a real perspective what I need and want to utilize, I have a lot of ambitions for the amount of records and book (Run on Sentences I) that I have written, and I am hoping to get my art/entertainment into the world. Although being from the west coast with the Christopher Wallace "Biggie Smalls" controversy - I don't want to live the way of "you are nobody until someone kills you." I want to be somebody while I am alive and I don't want the stereotypes of hip hop culture provides.
Everyday is a new day, and the history that we have been birthed on is either changing or transforming in instances of the globe moving in different levels and in economically what is capitalism, communism, and what is neurology.
