I'm raising money for security deposit so I can move.

Why I'm using HandUp for security deposit.

I'm using HandUp because I need help working to get my kids things that they lost when we left. They lost all of their clothes, shoes, school computers, and all of our furniture. It would really help to get some of it back.

About me.

My name is Lorraine and I am from Detroit, MI. I work doing homecare but have not been able to work lately not having my home. I have six kids but am only able to have three with me at the moment.

My backstory.

I was in a mentally, physically, and emotionally abusive relationship for five years. One day, my kids called the cops and we left. I was staying at CCSS for 32 days before they sent me to Lighthouse.

My goals, moving forward.

I'm working toward getting a home for me and my six children so we can all be together again. I miss them so much. I want to start working again, be comfortable, and I want my kids to be safe again. I'm doing everything I can to get there and stay there.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

What makes me happy is life, my family, my friends, doing what I love, and taking care of my family. My dream is to get my GED and become a lawyer. I also want to own my own daycare center because I love kids and helping people.
