Why I'm using HandUp for security Deposit.

I’m using hang up to share my story and my struggles and to hopefully get some help to get back on my feet. I am beside myself that I can’t be with all my children because the shelter only houses so many.

About me.

I am a 42 year old woman, I was born in Detroit, MI. Before I was homeless we were staying in East pointe, MI. I was working at a home health care facility, I was the manager until I fell ill and was unable to work. Things fell apart after I had to quit my job, thankfully I am feeling better and am able to work now. My plan is to look for a job once I find housing.

My backstory.

I had a stroke because of a blood clot and I was sick for a longtime. I haven’t been able to work and that put me behind in my and made it hard to take care of my children.

My goals, moving forward.

Moving forward, my goal is to get a job and get enough money for a security deposit and that will allow me to get a house and become more stable.

What makes me happiest is seeing my kids happy, I am happy to be alive after being so sick
