I grew up in Detroit and I've lived in the metro area all my life. I've worked in the industrial field and I've done some contracting work, I've enjoyed landscape work but have unfortunately not been able to continue this due to my health concerns.
Before I was housed, I was homeless on and off for about four years. I found myself in a tight spot financially and I didn't have family to rely on for assistance. It was shortly after i became homeless that all my possessions were stolen. Now I am in permanent supportive housing and doing well!
Right now I hope to obtain my drivers license to help me make progress in my goals.
I'm hoping to make progress toward applying toward Social Security. I'd love to have a little bit of income to work with so I don't have to rely as much on others. In the meantime I'm looking for side jobs that I am capable of doing.
I'm raising money for housing expenses so I can be able to move into my own place.
