Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

I am currently one month behind on my rent, which is $675. I have been working through temp services, but transportation is still a barrier and that makes it hard for me to keep a job and earn money to pay rent every month. I am keeping up with rent, but need help making payments for past due rent so I can keep my unit. Please consider helping me so I can stay housed!

About me.

Originally, I am from Los Angeles, California. However, I moved to Michigan 9 years ago for my job and I am currently in school for my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.

My backstory.

Recently, a home invasion sent my fiance and I to the hospital without any safe place to go. We have since left our housing in search of a more stable environment.

My goals, moving forward.

Most immediately, I would like to secure housing and move into a safe environment for my son. He deserves a safe home where we can be a family. I will continue to study for my degree in Psychology and I hope to graduate soon!
