I'm raising money for furniture so I can live comfortably.

Why I'm using HandUp for furniture.

I only have a bed and a table. I would like some more household necessities so I could be more comfortable and organized. I am asking HandUp for help so that I can make my home a home.

About me.

I've been staying in Detroit all my life. I have three brothers. I've never had a job because I'm legally blind. I love going to church. I love to clean. I love doing things to help out. I take daily walks. I gave three grown kids, thirteen grandkids, and three great grandkids.

My backstory.

I was homeless because no one would rent me a place, perhaps due to my handicap that happened after I was hit by a truck.

My goals, moving forward.

My goal is to keep my housing in order.

When my bills are paid and I don't have any worries I am happiest.
