I'm raising money for basic needs so I can fix my car.

Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

I’m fundraising for a front-end wheel alignment that’s usually about 150 dollars. Our car right now is completely immobile, and it’s all my mother-in-law and I have. We want to be able to take care of what little we do have, and need the funds to get the car moved to a reputable shop and get it working again so we can feel at ease in our current situation. I’ve been knocking on doors and asking for work in the neighborhood I’m in, and have been able to raise a little bit towards my goal so far but need help. There’s no other program that’s been able to help me like HandUp has, and I hope to be able to resolve this situation through it.

My backstory.

I've had a very hard life with many challenges. I had parents who were not supportive of me and who mistreated me, so I have been on my own since I was 16. I try to stay hopeful. I am currently in poor health with asthma, a heart condition, and extreme allergies, so it is difficult for me to continue living in a vehicle.

Unfortunately, I was displaced from my home:

"Money was never heaven sent, up went the rent, and outdoors I went!"

My goals, moving forward.

I hope to find a way to make a decent living, selling my art, my poetry, and my writing (daily affirmations on keeping hopeful no matter how bad things are and finding ways to overcome oppositions). I would like to be able to be in a place where I can eat fresh, healthy food and improve my health.
