Rena is now fundraising to get her drivers license. She has never had a license before and needs to take the written exam and then pay the license fee. Thank you all for considering donating to her!
My name is Rena Knott and I am from Detroit, MI. I spend my free time with my son who is 8 years old. We love to play games and watch movies. I used to work at Amazon but I had to let the job go because I did not have reliable transportation to get to the babysitter and to the job.
I had a baby when I was 16 and my mom put me out of the house and I became homeless. I have lived in my house now since 2014 and receive support services from COTS. I am so happy to be in housing after years of being homeless.
My goals are to get a good job, own my house and want a backyard for my son. I'd like to live in a family oriented community and eventually be able to travel. I want to be financially stable and own a car.
My proudest experience is being a mom. I love my son so much. I want to be able to help people like I was helped and give them hope.
I'm raising money for reliable transportation so I can to work and school.
I'm raising money for clothing so I can stay warm this winter.
I'm raising money for shoes and bus pass so I can obtain housing.
