Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

I'm currently unemployed, but hopefully not for too long. I know what it's like to have good jobs, a place of my own as well as a car all in my name. It's my goal to have these things again.

About me.

I was born in S.F. General Hospital. I've lived in S.F. and Oakland most of my life. I've worked for companies such as; Davita, Dialysis, Clorox and Allergan Pharmaceuticals. Before my current situation I was involved in community activities with a Church Ministry on the weekends that gave people free food, cooked or bagged or both. We gave out free clothes, shoes, and toiletries to all who would come through and it was so amazing and fun. This took place in Oakland but sadly that Ministry is now defunct. Those were good days, you know, helping people. I really do miss that.

My backstory.

I've been through some hardships in my life, and for the moment I'm going through a bit of a rough patch. I'm back out here in Caifornia from Texas. In 2023 I was laid off from my job. When I tried to get unemployment, I was denied. I was in a car accident that caused me to be slightly unemployable. However, I am healing slowly but surely from my injuries, and I'm looking forward to being back in good shape soon enough.

My goals, moving forward.

My goals are to be gainfully employed once again with a good company I can retire from with a good pension. I desire to have a place of my own again and transportation. I like nice things. I like traveling, sightseeing, playing music and staying out of trouble.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I like being a good help to people that are in need; however right about now, I'm in need. I like encouraging people because it's my gift; but right about now, I need to be encouraged. I've had good moments and bad moments in this life/my life. However, one thing I do is, no matter what I been through or go through, I need to and will stay optimistic and positive as much as possible. When I get back to that good place where I come from, I'm going to use this platform to help those that.I can. Thank you to all for all your help.
