I'm raising money for kitchenware so I can stock my kitchen when I get my own place.

Why I'm using HandUp for kitchenware.

I'm using HandUp to fundraise for kitchenware because I'm looking to live independently and when I have my own kitchen, I want to be able to cook for myself. I look forward to making pork chops in my new kitchen. This will be my first apartment in the last 10 years.

About me.

I was born and raised in Detroit, MI. I work as a driver for the railroads. I spend my free time with my daughter, my grand kids and my great grand kids.

My backstory.

I came to Mariners Inn about four years ago through drug court and have been involved with their extended residency program.

My goals, moving forward.

My goal is to move into my own place before the end of the month (January).

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I really like spending time with my family. I try to keep up with my grandchildren and my great grandchildren!
