Why I'm using HandUp for some start up funds.

Hello, again, Hand Up! My name is Willie and I am an aspiring business owner! I have begun creating t-shirts to raise awareness for safety on the roads for those, not only in vehicles, but those on bikes! I am a part of bicycle club (I have a 10-speed) and I love the people I ride with and riding but, unfortunately, we have lost many friends over the years while riding their bicycles. So, I am here today to ask for a hand up to help me (and others) with the power of awareness with these t-shirts I will be making. We have one of our logos trademarked but some help with start up funds are needed.

I am hoping to be an independent man again.

Thank you for reading, Willie

About me.

I was born in 1944, in the city of Detroit. I was educated in the Detroit Public School school system and completed high school, (GED). I had worked at Sinai Hospital as a lab. technician. Unfortunately I spent 28 years incarcerated but I was constantly learning and growing from my mistakes. I am unmarried with no children but I do have family who offer moral support in all that I do. Currently I am unemployed due to health concerns and I have a pace maker which makes it challenging to my health.I attend self help programs to better myself and also inspire others.

My backstory.

After a period of incarceration I was released in 2014, homeless and no funds to sustain a living I had no one who wanted to aid me which led to my current state of homelessness.

My goals, moving forward.

I would like to live a independent and pleasant quality of life with stable housing upon which I can enjoy the rest of my life and give back to others. .

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I'm a social person who enjoys people and helping others. My proudest moment was volunteering with a group of people giving food to the homeless
