Why I'm using HandUp for an outstanding DTE bill.

I am fundraising for an old DTE bill that could prevent me from moving into my own apartment.

About me.

I'm from Seattle, Washington. I've lived in Detroit for approximately 2.5 years. I'm currently on SSI and I have not worked in over 8 years because of my disability.

My backstory.

Due to bad decisions, I found myself in a homeless situation, which brought me to Mariners Inn. After two years, I am prepared to move into independent living.

My goals, moving forward.

My next goal after independent living is to obtain a grant to go back to school.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

Changing my life situation and putting myself in a position to help others makes me proud and happy.
