Currently I am living in supportive housing in San Francisco. I am originally from the mid-west and moved to the Bay Area 40 years. I am retired, prior to retiring I was working as a cook. Music and film are huge part of my life. I enjoy playing guitar and going to the cinema. I am also an animal lover and enjoy volunteering at animal shelters.
I am originally from the midwest. When I moved to the Bay Area I worked as cook for many notable resturants. I was and still am very active in the Bay Area music and arts scene. At one point in my life I lost close family members and my relationship with my partner ended. I became homeless for 3 years as a result. I was fortunate enough to secure stable housing and get the support needed to get back on my feet,
My goal is to improve my quality of life. I am doing so by addressing health issues I haven't been able to due to lack of resources and financial hardship. I have been taking iniative to get dentures so I can improve my healthy eating and self-esteem. I have also been reconnecting and rebuilding relationships with family and friends.
Prior to my parents passing away I was their caregiver. I am proud of myself for being able to care for them. I am happiest when I am playing my guitar, spending time with friends, voluteering and making a difference in other peoples lives. I also love bunny rabbits.
I'm raising money for $2000 so I can find housing, buy food, and buy clothes for interiews.
I'm raising money for a root canal so I can improve my oral health and help manage my dental pain**.
I'm raising money for a bed and air purifirier so I can sleep comfortably and adequately at night.
