I'm working with a dentist to get partial dentures. They cost $100. I went into the dental office and they have already fitted the dentures on me and they look beautiful. I am in need of $100 that my MediCal doesn't cover and would greatly appreciate getting these dentures to support me with my employment and recovery. Dentures would give me the confidence I would need to move forward with interviewing for employment and staying sober.

On occasion, the immediate needs or an emergency may arise, and a Participant might require support in another way for safety, health, housing, or employment. As such, your donation may be used for an immediate basic need not mentioned in the above goal, such as groceries, health costs, or housing support. My name is Cecil. I was born in Santa Rosa and lived in Sacramento for many years, Redding California, and have lived here in the city for 3 and 1/2 years. I have driven for Uber and have worked in SFO, but have experienced homelessness because of the cost of housing and it makes it very difficult to hold a job because living in shelters and on the street have put a hardship on keeping employment. So I am currently trying to rebuild my life. I don't know if I can live in the city forever because of the cost of living in the city. So I would appreciate any help to better myself. Thank you very much.
I had a hard upbringing because of the challenge I face with my family. Divorce in the family. I have lived around alcoholism all my life and have found myself falling into that category. So I am just trying to better myself so I can live a better life. There has been abuse, by a few family members and step-parents. So it's been hard to focus on what I need to do. It has been a challenge because I have recently discovered I have arthritis in my hip.
My goals need to be one at a time. I have to be patient even though I am 51 years old. I would like to drive once again to earn a living. I would like to sometime in my life own my own home. That is a large goal though that I can not achieve until I reach my small goals. A job, which would help create stability. Stability, not just with having a job but with me as a person. I need a better support system in my life because it has never been there. But I think a job would create a sense of stability would start on my small goals before I can reach any large goal.
I think that this is a great program for someone to help another person. It shows that there is people willing to support another person, even without knowing that person. So I do appreciate people that are willing to help.
