I am originally from Mexico and have been living in the US since the early 1980s. I came to San Francisco after the earthquake to help with rebuilding the community and working in construction. I have a variety of work experience including driving trucks to deliver and plant trees and construction. I've worked all of my life and it's a passion of mine.
In 2003, I had bought a license to start a transportation company in San Francisco. Around that time, my friend was driving a limo for my service and I was in the passenger seat, when there was a horrible car accident. My friend passed away and I was severely injured in a coma. They had to do eye and brain surgery on me at General Hospital. I was given so much medicine and wasn't doing well. Since then, I currently am living with a disability and have difficulty with remembering but am hopeful for my future.
I hope to feel well and to be healthy again. I oftentimes am in the hospital, and have also been the victim of a crime in San Francisco. But, I am hopeful to visit my father, and spend time back in Mexcio and maybe even eventually go to school.
To go to school will make me very happy. I hope that my memory can serve me well enough to be able to learn. I love soccer too. I organized a soccer league in SF but after my accident, when I attempted to play, I saw three balls at the same time due to my injury, so I needed to stop. But, I like all of the sports. My son loves sports as well, including American football. I love my son very much and he also means a lot to me.
