I have my own small business making coasters, ashtrays, wine glasses and other creative products. I started the business with my sister but she passed away in 2016 and since then I've had a really hard time. I am now in a good place and I want to get the business started again to honor my sister and use it as a creative outlet.
I was born and raised in Detroit. I started this business in 2016 with my sister. We make wine glasses, keychains, jewelry, coasters, ashtrays, and a bunch of other products all customized. I was working at Arby's, but because of COVID my kids aren't in school so I was fired. Now I'm focusing full time on virtual school with them. My kids are 9, 7, 5, and 3 years old. Three girls and one son. I'm trying to make the best out of all of this.
I live on my own with my 4 children, but a few years ago we were homeless. We slept in our car until one of my friends told me about COTS. We finally got into COTS and now live in an apartment.
My goal is to have enough money to provide for me and my kids. I want to be a business owner with name recognition and to be earning a living doing what I love.
My proudest moment is my four kids and my best moment is when the oldest two got on the honor roll. My motivate me and give me focus to provide for a better life.
