I have the experience, the desire, and the physical space in my home to start a daycare. I need several basic items in order to get started and prepared for licensing. Thank you for your support!
I am a mother of 3 beautiful boys and I was homeless before moving into our current apartment. It's been my dream for 4 years now to start my own in home day care. I know what it's like to not have a lot of support as a mother and I look forward to helping moms care for their children.
I am working with a place called Children's Council to obtain my child care licence and they will also provide some clients for me. I have been slowly getting it ready, but I still need a lot of supplies. I plan to use the money I raise for: art supplies, kids sized tables and chairs, bean bags, book shelves, books, food, baby swing, cots and blankets for sleeping, tablets. diapers, pull-ups and wipes, a baby walker/bouncer, a baby bed, potty training supplies, plenty of toys and much more! The kids will be doing lots of arts and crafts, learning to make things and be creative with their hands, participating in learning activities, and I plan on doing one field trip a month. I will get to know all the parents and build a relationship with them to work with their child one by one on any weaknesses they may have, like potty training for example. I plan to charge by each parents income, providing childcare from 6am-6pm Monday thru Friday and also a drop in service for parents who need a break, want to go out, or just want their child to participate in the activities that will take place in my home. This drop in service will be every Saturday from 11am to 5pm. Thank you so much for your support - even a dollar is appreciated!
