I am a type 1 diabetic and insulin dependent, it has been uncontrollable due to the inability to obtain medication. Since I am a high risk diabetic, it is extremely important that I have the necessary household cleaning items to protect myself.
I was born in Detroit and have lived in the city ever since. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially doing arts and crafts, watching movies, and playing games.
Prior to be part of the CHS I was homeless for 5-10 years, after the death of my parents. I have lived on the streets and in various shelters. Every day was a struggle to survive. My current challenges are controlling my health and obtaining employment.
I'm working on getting my life back on track and having stability. I am still working on having a proper support system, eventually feeling comfortable enough to progress in life.
What makes me happiest is having positive relationships with my family. My proudest moment is graduation and getting off the streets and becoming self-sufficient.
I'm raising money for reliable transportation so I can to work and school.
I'm raising money for bills and basic every day needs so I can worry less about common necessities.
I'm raising money for a nightstand, lamp, an end table and a dresser so I can see in my house and put my clothes away.
