I'm raising money for basic needs so I can fix my car..

Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

Car has not been working for quite some time now, I'm trying to pay for needed repairs so my car will not be towed.

About me.

Im from Humboldt Co Ive been in San Francisco for about 8 months. I was formerly employed with the Department of health and human services, its been very difficult since becoming unemployed to maintain a stable living situation.

Having my car operational again, would be extremely beneficial to getting my life back in order.

My backstory.

After having several personal tragedies in my life, I lost my housing, and ended up homeless.

I have made progress in spite of my tough situation, I recently celebrated 6 months CLEAN & SOBER from all drugs and alcohol, and am now trying to get back on my feet, with a roof over my head and a job.

My goals, moving forward.

Getting our car fixed, finding permanent housing, and getting back into the work force are my top priorities at this time.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

Both of my sons are Eagle Scouts, I am very proud of them for their accomplishments and am happiest when I know they are doing well.
