Why I'm using HandUp for an inflatable mattress.

I am updating my goal to raise funds for household furniture. I am currently sleeping on the floor and in need of a an inflatable mattress. Thank you for looking at my page.

About me.

I lived in Texas before coming to Detroit. While in San Antonio, I worked goodwill in Lansing. Interviewed at the fast foods. Worked at checkers. And also worked in diners as well. My favorite part of working was organizing the racks at the clothing stores. I found enjoyment in syncing the clothing with the fall wear and the dresses with the winter wear. The racks that I used to control would always sell the fastest and I took pride in my work. I have continued with my eye to detail in my everyday homeless life and I have observed which items are most beneficial to the homeless community. I am hoping that once I am housed I will be able to return to the homeless community in order to provide the needed essentials for those in need.

My backstory.

I became homeless after losing my job in the clothing industry. Although I was great at my job I was not great at socializing. I was discouraged and unfortunately left go after not being able to socialize properly with the community around me. My goal and my focus was to do a great job and improve the sales in the store, which I did with great efficiency. However, I was not looked at as a team player and because of my obstinacy to change I was let go. I am one day hoping to work in a boutique or other agencies that focus on profit over socialization.

My goals, moving forward.

I am currently looking forward to life at the NSO coming to an end and currently looking for permanent supportive housing. I enjoy maintaining my independence.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

Being alive makes me happiest. travelling on water. being accepted into CHS and their excellent support system!
