Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

I am hoping to return back to the Philippines as soon as possible. I would like to get my US passport so that I can travel there.

** NOTE TO DONORS: We value your donations, and respect your intention to support people in need with their specific fundraising goals. On occasion, the immediate needs or an emergency may arise, and a Participant might require support in another way for safety, health, housing, or employment. As such, your donation may be used for an immediate basic need not mentioned in the above goal, such as groceries, health costs, or housing support. Any changes will always be approved in advance by PHC Staff. We will provide up to date information on how these funds are being used through an update on HandUp. By making a donation to this campaign, you are confirming your approval of this potential change. If you have any questions, or do not wish that your donation be used for any alternative goals, please contact PHC staff directly.

We greatly appreciate your support to our Participants!

About me.

I've been here since 1989. I moved around the country; I've lived in L.A., Texas, Miami, Minnesota, and Sacramento. After that, I went back to the Philippines for a while. I came back to San Francisco in 2015, where I was staying in various homeless shelters until my case manager helped me find housing at a hotel in the city. I've done odd jobs, by the day and by the week, like mail sorting. I also briefly taught Elementary School in Phoenix.

My goals, moving forward.

I put in a teaching application at San Francisco Unified School District. I would like to teach Elementary School again, so now I am waiting to hear back from them.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I am happiest when little plans work out. My proudest moment is when I arrived in the United States and got naturalized, and now I'm able to stay in San Francisco. In my free time, I like to go to the library and work on computers, listen to music, watch videos, and read the news. I like to move around the city.
