Why I'm using HandUp for my monthly YMCA membership fee.

I am currently in the process of focusing on facilitating my healing process and a YMCA gym membership will really help me with focusing on my health and self-care. Any support you can provide me as I move through this journey would be greatly appreciated!

** NOTE TO DONORS: We value your donations, and respect your intention to support people in need with their specific fundraising goals. On occasion, the immediate needs or an emergency may arise, and a Participant might require support in another way for safety, health, housing, or employment. As such, your donation may be used for an immediate basic need not mentioned in the above goal, such as groceries, health costs, or housing support. Any changes will always be approved in advance by PHC Staff. We will provide up to date information on how these funds are being used through an update on HandUp. By making a donation to this campaign, you are confirming your approval of this potential change. If you have any questions, or do not wish that your donation be used for any alternative goals, please contact PHC staff directly.

We greatly appreciate your support to our Participants!

About me.

I've been a healing artist for over twenty years. I've worked for all the 5 star spas. I've worked with a lot of holistic doctors, acupuncturists, chiropractors, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healers. I've worked in many different venues - from high end spas to hospice to healing centers, privately for athletes, politicians, diplomats, businessmen, the homeless. Although I've been a healer for most of my life, I am currently focusing on healing myself with aqua therapy, self-care and chronic pain maintenance.

My backstory.

I moved back to SF the weekend the Giants won the world series in 2010. I had been traveling (lived overseas on a Portuguese island doing body work), and moved back here to take care of my dad who had a bone marrow transplant. He had brain surgery due to a rare blood cancer, multiple melanoma. He had the bone marrow transplant at Scripps in San Diego and soon after passed away. I got here and had just enough money to rent a room, but was in complete shock about how expensive SF had become due to the current market. I ran out of money, and became homeless, all while trying to get work. During that time, I fell two stories down stairs. This caused massive physical pain, and I have a major surgery. Two girls also tried to rob me and I also experienced police brutality, causing me further chronic injury. Because of these reasons, I am no longer able to work due to my current physical and mental condition.

My goals, moving forward.

My goal is to facilitate my healing process so I continue my healing journey. This will restore my spiritual, mental, and physical well being and allow for me to become whole again so I can be of service to others through my healing art career; and any other career of service that may present itself through this full circle journey.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I love to roller skate, blow bubbles, smoke rainbow joints and eat pop rocks candy all at the same time!
