Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

I am fundraising for support with my monthly storage which is I'm behind $412.00 dollars, due to Covid it's been extremely difficult to access services either the wait times are too long or the waitlists are full, I've been having a tough time since this pandemic, everything is very hard to do especially for the homeless, so I appreciate any help kind of help at this point. I've been utilizing my resources as best I can but again due to the back up Covid has caused with not being able to enter buildings to lessen contact has been extremely difficult. Again anything would help and I would greatly appreciate it!

About me.

I was born and raised in San Francisco CA. I am currently homeless after ten years of stable housing. I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren who I adore, they keep me going. I'm disabled and unable to work due to my disability, however I'm very active, I volunteer at the food bank when I'm not with my grandkids.

My backstory.

I got in this situation because of a nosy neighbor writing me up for things I wasn't doing. I had been living there for ten in a half years and never had any problems until this person moved into the building. Property management took her side and ultimately I was unfairly evicted. January 3rd was my last day and since then it's been a nightmare trying to find housing,

My goals, moving forward.

I am working to regain stable housing again and working on my mental health making sure I take my medication, going to therapy and staying connected to the support system that I have which is my children and grandchildren and utilizing all of my resources.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I'm happiest when I'm with my family, my grandchildren bring so much joy to my life, I'm so thankful to have them, they give me purpose to keep going and never give up!!! My proudest moments is when I gave birth to my first child
