I'm raising money for basic needs so I can purchase hygiene items, personal documents, shoes, and school supplies.

Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

I'm applying for Solar Panel school and I'm also applying for housing. I will need shoes, tools, and school supplies. I'm also going to have visitation rights with my daughter, Cilicia. I will need money for visitation and also want to be able to buy her some food and clothing when I visit her.

About me.

I was born and raised in San Francisco. I'm predominately from the North Beach area. I have a 3 year old daughter and the most important goal in my life is to be a good father to my daughter. I'm currently volunteering with Friends of the San Francisco Library. I obtained my pre-apprenticeship certification from Sacramento Job Corps in 2000. After I graduated with this pre-apprenticeship, I was able to enroll in the Cement Masonry Union and start a career as pre-apprentice in cement masonry. I'm currently working on my certificate for Warehouse and Logistics at Skyline College at SOMA One Stop Career Link Center. I'm working with a career specialist there who is helping me research programs for heating and cooling as well. I like to spend my time planning my goals and being proactive in order to improve my life.

My backstory.

Due to complicated family relationships, I have been trying to make it on my own for the last few years. I'm 39 years old and I don't want to rely on my family to support me. A lot has happened since I first made my hand up account 3 years ago. I am now in recovery and in the process of rebuilding, It is very hard to find stable housing in the city of San Francisco and I am have been relying heavily on the resources provided and they're solely going towards living expenses including volunteer work in exchange for food and clothing. I'm now reaching further into the community and asking that my project hand up donors make a kind contribution to my life and I will do it best to pay it forward in the future thank you for time.

My goals, moving forward.

Since making this profile I've completed school I'm still actively seeking employment. I went to school for music, so I want to fund raise for a laptop to continue doing what I love to do and a laptop would allow me to further pursue my dream.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I love God, people, and animals. I'm fascinated by art. I build model cars, I paint, I draw, and I like making movies. I'm also into photography. My friend and I made a clay-mation movie. I love being able to create and build something. I am going to start a non-profit organization that provides care for the animals of homeless individuals.
