I relocated to San Francisco California from Bakersfield California on an employment opportunity with a local non-profit. The company soon dispersed and I found myself unemployed without means to afford living expenses such as housing. Also, primarily due to over crowding, and lack of budgeting I became destitute. I am a certified Business secretary with six-months legal secretarial background. At eighteen years I enlisted in the United States Army National Guard stationed at the 2228 Eng Co. My MOS was 64 Charlie in Bunkie, LA. And that is how I went Grambling State University. I have also been a licenced Insurance in the state of Louisiana.
Due to unresolved emotions and feelings as a result of circumstance I found myself in a downward spiral in a seemingly hopeless state of mind I turned to narcotics as a means to cope with the stress of my circumstances. I now have 138 consecutive clean and sober days due to a decision, and a greater power than myself. I have a strong determination and desire to stay on my current path. I have four sons, two daughters and two beautiful grandsons, a two-year old grand daughter and a new born grand daughter coming. None of which have yet to touch or hold. At present, we are reuniting through social media, mail, and phone. I would very much like to remain a positive influence in our second opportunity.
My nineteen year old daughter is a beautiful young lady, very responsible and intelligent. She is waiting to have her new born baby girl in June. It is my prayer and passion to finally be able to afford her, a mother, and grandmother to her baby. My top first priority is to remain clean & sober, and to reintegrate myself as a positive productive member of my community.
One of my greatest moments in life is completing HealthRight 360, and to be able to report to my family and loved ones that I am now doing something worthy of their affections - Thanking you all in advance.
Sincerely, Benetta
