Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.
I am fundraising on HandUp for a Clipper Card so that I can move forward with my goals. I am so grateful for all of your generous support so far in helping me afford a phone. Now, I would like to have some money for a clipper card so I can attend my appointments with different social agencies and case workers to move forward. Not having a Clipper card makes taking public transportation very risky.
About me.
I am originally from San Diego. I've lived in SF for 8 years now, and I need the support to change my life, and find stable housing. I enjoy being in nature, especially walking by the ocean. Seeing life and going in a positive direction, being around positive people. I have my driver's license and am looking for work as a driver.
My backstory.
I've had several health problems that have contributed to me being homeless, and unemployed. I am trying to make a positive change in my life, and need assistance to pay for necessities until I can start working again.
My goals, moving forward.
I am fighting to get stable footing in my life, to get employment and permanent housing. I want to get better, and need someone to help me find this change.
Other things I'd like to share about myself.
Raising my children is what I am most proud of. Also, my resilience and ability to survive adversity and difficult challenges in life.
