I'm raising money for basic needs so I can keep my family and I in our home.

Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

My family and I recently had to switch to a different temporary housing situation and it is double the rent. While I am trying different Job Trainings and working on my employment, I hope to keep fundraising with your support so my children, family and I can remain in the temporary housing we had found. We are applying and looking for places that are more affordable. Thank you again for everything.

About me.

My family and I are from the Bay Area - we've lived here all of our lives. My family and I have a strong business background, I am married and have raised three children. I pride myself on instilling the same principles and values from my childhood, that I grew up with, which is respect, discipline and being able to help others.

My backstory.

My family and I have recently taken a tragic loss. The untimely death of my mother cascaded into other close net family members. Upon my mother's death my father became terminally ill and my husband suffered a massive stroke. After these series of events I was the only one taking care of the household and had all of the pressure on me. The pressure of having to care for the whole household created serious stressors and I became ill myself.

My goals, moving forward.

My ultimate goal is to bring my family back together as a unit by bringing them together under a secure stable household. Additional goals include; to become healthy so that I can function and go back to work for myself and family. Also, I absolutely want to to get out of this homeless cycle as it is a downward spiral. However, my ultimate goal is to secure housing so my family and I can become a unified front and be together.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

As a proud mother of three, one of the happiest days was when my eldest sons graduated high school with honors. I am extremely proud of my three sons. My happiest moments were when my family were all together, in good health, working, and making a viable contribution to society. One of my best memories is of my whole family attending my eldest son's graduation.
