Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

Hello! My name is Sebastien. A few months ago, in a quest to better myself, I have decided to check myself into a treatment center here in San Francisco. Unfortunately, addiction has taken a lot out of my personal life including many of my possessions.

Therefore I would greatly appreciate the help in getting some gift cards to various places in order to rebuild not only my wardrobe but also a pantry of goodies. I am fortunate that the treatment center feeds us but sometimes you just want a giant bag of gummy bears!

About me.

I emigrated from Canada in 2014 and lived in Chicago for four years. I have since moved to San Francisco about six months ago to start a new life. I spend a lot in recovery meetings and focusing on my self-care.

My backstory.

I am currently not working because I am concentrating on establishing recovery from drug and alcohol use and therefore, will be unemployed while I work on that in a sober living environment (which I'm about to move into).

My goals, moving forward.

Once I've stabilized in my recovery, I plan to go back to school in a vocational program that retrains people in technical support, which I used to do for several years. Hopefully, at some point I would like to get my own place and a cat or two.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I am usually happiest surrounded with my friends watching a good movie or television show and definitely when I am playing video games! I am huge Star Trek fan!
