I'm from New Orleans, Louisiana. I've been here in San Francisco for twenty years. I love this city and this place and I would like to be a bigger part of making community work. I am presently retired from a medical school where I worked as a finance director. I am now physically unable to do an every day thing, but I assist where I can, and volunteer. I volunteer with Project Homeless Connect as the lead for the reading glasses program. After 11 years of lead, I still love it. I do need to fill my pockets as well as my time LOL so help me to move into a physical working position again.
I have a home, fortunately, and worked hard to get it. Not being able to work because of my AIDS status makes it impossible to work. With 11 surgeries past, and 3 ahead of me to start, it is still impossible to work a daily job. Volunteering where needed is convenient because of its flexible schedules and becoming a notary makes me have a flexible schedule.
As 2019 comes, I want to be prepared to live a more stress-free life, and that is so that I'm not worried about finances anymore. Becoming a notary public would give me the opportunity to work a flexible schedule at my own convenience and help someone in need process their legal documents in a professional and courteous manner. So with that being said, please help me support this schooling so that I can reach the goals of financial flexibility.
Being a people person, I always aspire to be happy and if I can help bring someone to a happy place, I am more than willing to support them - and that makes me happy. I enjoy playing pool and participate by being on the board of directors of the San Francisco Pool Association for the last 6 years - and that gives me joy.
