I am currently fundraising for basic needs including toilet paper, cleaning supplies, toiletries, laundry and other items to help me more comfortably live in my housing. This will support me in my endeavors to once again find a sense of the future as a writer and artist and citizen of the world.
I am from the mesas and arroyos and never-ending skies of the Southwest. I am an east-coast educated American Indian woman. I have worked since I was ten years old. My tribe tells me I am my great grandfather reborn. As my grandfather's daughter. I carry his way with horses and my DNA-based tribal mandates. I spent a good part of my life volunteering my time, mind and experience working for civil rights for the tribes and the less fortunate.
I am in a perilous situation because of unrelenting domestic violence and stalking. He has taken my home, my car, and taken hold of my bank account. He has nearly erased my footprints from this earth.
I am working towards once again finding a sense of the future as a writer and artist and citizen of the world. I plan to attend to legal matters and those things that allow me to express myself as an artist.
What makes me happiest is to see any type of artist, from actor to chef, at the top of their game. It also brings me much joy to paint and write for the world that we all might remember the beauty that man is capable of, especially in these challenging times. My wildest dream is to once again find myself racing through the switchbacks and trails of my homeland on a painted horse.
I'm raising money for basic needs so I can celebrate my son's college graduation in May 2018, visit my brother recovering from a stroke and his family, spend some time in my hometown, and also visit some seminaries as I am working to return to college to study theology to prepare to be a chaplain.
